02 / 06 Between disciplines

Cinema, art
& technology.

With a background in history, advertising and marketing, and training in direction from the Film and Television Institute of India, Pune, Siddharth brings both narrative thinking and visual precision to his projects. His experience ranges from documenting intricate craft processes and filming high-altitude expeditions to creating virtual exhibitions and multimedia experiences within historic spaces.

Through Bongwater Films and Ascari Studios, he collaborates with filmmakers, designers, sound practitioners, curators and developers to find meaningful ways of storytelling. These projects bring together moving images, sound design, 3D spatial mapping, projection and interactive interfaces. While film has always been his first love, he continues to be fascinated by experiences where viewers actively engage with content in visual, auditory and multisensory ways.

03 / 06 Art, culture & access

Stories beyond
the screen.

His work with cultural institutions includes virtual exhibitions for the Kiran Nadar Museum of Art, the National Museum and Devi Art Foundation, alongside interactive multimedia experiences for the Wangduechhoeling Palace Museum in Bhutan. These projects explore different ways of communicating cultural narratives, allowing audiences to navigate spaces, discover objects and access stories that might otherwise remain beyond their reach.

04 / 06 Material & memory

The act
of making.

An ongoing interest in textiles and craftsmanship has led to projects with Dior and the Chanakya School of Craft, GoodEarth, and Swati & Sunaina. Moving between observational films, stereoscopic 360° cinema and digital exhibition spaces, this work considers how material, detail, scale and the act of making can be communicated through different media. His studio also contributed to the online presentation of Woven Narratives during India’s G20 Presidency, receiving a letter of appreciation from the Ministry of Culture.

05 / 06 A sense of presence

Seeing. Listening.
Participating.

Sound design is a core component of his practice, particularly in VR projects, where immersive spatial sound works alongside the image to establish atmosphere, guide attention and create a sense of presence. The GoodEarth ASMR films offer another expression of this interest, combining close visual observation with carefully constructed sound to create an intimate sensory experience.

At the heart of his practice is an interest in making art and culture more accessible. Every project brings a different set of objectives, collaborators and constraints, and he continues to explore how familiar storytelling techniques and emerging technologies can open up new ways of seeing, listening and participating.

06 / 06 Background & contact

A background
in stories.

Alongside his independent practice, Siddharth’s professional background includes content and post-production leadership at PowerDrift, creative strategy at Postscript Advertising and strategic planning at Publicis. This experience informs an approach that considers the idea, its execution and the audience’s encounter with the work.
